Calling all musical foodies ages 7-11 in the Harrisonburg, VA area!  In this event, participants will learn how to make and follow recipes (featuring text, rhythm, and dynamic spices) to create and shape exciting story-lines in music!

"Music: Art in Motion"*


 An event that explores the organic connections between music, art,

 and motion. Featured activities include moving to various orchestral

 excerpts with colored scarves, implementing emoji balls to express

 the emotion and direction of the beat or pulse, and using

 brushstrokes and paint color to mimic the articulation, shape, and

 feeling of the music.

 Ages: 7-14

"Who Stole Mozart's Theme?"*


Modeled after the game of Clue, this children's festival invites student detectives to solve clues to find Mozart's theme. Led by the suspects, activities include educational games on articulation, dynamics, harmony, and rhythm, ending in a grand finale!

Ages: 7-14
